Owner and lateral thinker – Jill Ford
I’m energetic, with heaps of ideas and passionate about making a difference and inspiring others. Volunteering since a teenager in sports, cultural, community, environment and lately cycling advocacy.
I moved into marketing and events when setting up and managing the Women in Sport and Recreation program at Sport NZ. After which I grew my own Events, marketing and sponsorship company, for 17 years, whilst also volunteering in multiple roles. I then decided to use my marketing experience and passion to make a difference in the NFP sector, in a National fundraising role with NZ Red Cross. On the way I have created and grown a wide variety of successful events, digital campaigns, marketing and communications strategies, national appeals and advocacy campaigns.
In 2015 I took a sabbatical travelling widely whilst also contracting and volunteering in the NFP sector in the UK, returning late 2017.
Whilst in the UK I experienced (as a participant and organiser) how effective Peer 2 Peer fundraising events were in raising money for charities. So I decided on returning to NZ to set up events to help NZ charities benefit from P2P fundraising without the stress, risk and expense of setting up their own events.
